⇐ Service Description:

This service allows the issuance of a private driver's license for Kuwaitis and non-Kuwaitis, in accordance with the provisions and articles of the Traffic Law and its Executive Regulations No. (67/76) and its amendments.

⇐ Documents required for issuing a private driver's license:

1. Print the application for a driver's license.
2. After the application is approved, a medical fitness certificate form will be signed.
3. After completing the medical examination and determining the blood type, a driver's education permit will be issued from the Licensing Department.
4. Schedule a test appointment through the Ministry of Interior's website.
5. After passing the theoretical and practical tests, the procedures for obtaining a driving license are completed at the Department.
6. A copy of the civil ID card.
7. A copy of the passport.
8. 2 passport size photos (6x4) with blue background. Education form and fee according to the license type and expiry date. Original work permit and a copy thereof + signature authorization (for employees of companies and institutions). (Non-Kuwaiti) Security card + criminal evidence request for stateless persons. (Non-Kuwaiti) Original civil card of the sponsor for domestic workers (Article 20) and its authentication from his country's embassy - Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (Non-Kuwaiti) Legal residence for two years or according to Ministerial Resolution No. 1729 of 2005 All driving licenses issued to non-Kuwaitis are valid for the duration of the residence in the country.

2. Fill out the service form.
3. Conduct a medical examination.
4. Pay the required fees.
